Who watches the watchmen?

You have an IT provider. The harder question is whether their advice serves your interests or theirs. We're the objective party who can tell you, because we have no stake in the answer.

The people advising you on technology are often the same people profiting from the advice.

The problem we solve

Your IT provider recommends an upgrade. A software vendor pushes a higher tier. A contractor says a project is necessary. Maybe every one of those is true. The trouble is that you usually can't tell, because the person giving the advice is also the person who gets paid when you say yes.

That isn't always bad faith. Plenty of providers are good at their jobs. But even an honest provider has a built-in incentive to sell more, and you deserve someone in the room whose only incentive is you.

That's what we do here. We review the work, the invoices, and the recommendations on the table, then give you a straight read on whether it holds up. When something is right, we say so. When it isn't, we say that too.

What we look at

An engagement can be a one-time second opinion or an ongoing arrangement where we check in regularly.

  • Your provider's performance against what you're actually paying for
  • Invoices and contracts, line by line, for things you don't need
  • Major recommendations, in plain language, before you commit
  • Renewal terms and pricing when it's time to re-sign
  • Your security and risk posture, with no product waiting to be sold
Our promise

We answer only to you.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Lantrn holds no vendor contracts, resells no products, and earns no commissions. There is no kickback, no referral fee, and no partner we're quietly trying to steer you toward.

That independence is the whole point. It's what lets us tell you the truth even when it's inconvenient for everyone else at the table.

  • No products to sell and no commissions to chase
  • A plain-language second opinion you can actually use
  • Contract and billing review that pays for itself
  • An advocate in the room who works for you alone
